Rubi Rose Benton an Kentucky native born on September 2, 1997. She was raised by Nardos Gebrelul, her maternal grandmother (an Eritrean immigrant dentist, born in Ethiopia) and John Benton her father (a lawyer with Japanese as well as African American descent).
